Grant Matcher

Which grants could suit your farm?

Answer a few questions. We check them against the scheme rules in our grants ledger and show what fits, what to check and what doesn't.

Step 1 of 4

Your farm

Which county is the farm in?

Why we ask: Some schemes, like LEADER, are run by local groups, so it helps to know where you are.

About you

Date of birth

Why we ask: The young farmer grants have an age limit. We work out your age from this and keep it private.

Do you have a farming qualification, like the Green Cert?

Why we ask: The young farmer grants ask you to have done the course the scheme asks for (the Department calls it “the required agricultural education”). Your advisor can tell you which courses count.

Is this the first time the farm herd or holding is in your name? (The Department calls this setting up as “head of holding”.)

Why we ask: The young farmer grant is for people setting up on their own for the first time.

Not sure? Pick Not sure and we’ll flag it for your advisor.

Based on the rules published by the Department of Agriculture, SEAI and LEADER, as listed in our grants ledger. This isn't advice: always confirm with your advisor and the official terms.
