How it works
See how the Grant Matcher works
Video description: an example of the Grant Matcher app with a sample dairy farm in County Cavan. Profile: the farmer types in dairy, Cavan, 45 hectares, aged 34, has a herd number, is in ACRES and plans solar panels on the parlour roof, while a progress bar fills to 100%. Matches: three grants appear with example fit scores, reasons they may fit and things to check: Young Farmers Capital Investment Scheme (TAMS 3) (closes 4 Dec 2026), Solar Capital Investment Scheme (TAMS 3) (closes 4 Dec 2026) and SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant (solar PV) (closes 6 Jul 2027). Grant detail: the Young Farmers scheme shows a 60% grant, a maximum grant of €54,000 and 49 days left. An eligibility checklist ticks off age under 41, herd number and minimum investment, and flags agricultural education and first time head of holding to confirm. A document checklist ticks off two of four items. Deadlines: a timeline shows the closing dates, and a phone shows a text and an email reminder on 20 November 2026 that the solar scheme closes in 14 days. Drafts: an AI assistant types a note to the farmer's advisor about applying, with an "Advisor review needed" badge. Summary: 3 grants matched, with the published maximums: up to €54,000, 60% of up to €90,000, and up to €325,200, and a note that the amount depends on the approved investment. The video loops and has no sound.

Is the Grant Matcher open?
Yes. Create a free account, fill in your farm profile and you'll see how many schemes may suit you. Choose a plan to see which ones, why, and what to do next.
What does it cost?
Basic is €5 a month, Pro is €15 a month and Advisor is €49 a month (VAT included where it applies). The newsletter, grants list and tools directory stay free.
I'm not great with technology. Is this for me?
Absolutely. The newsletter is a plain email, and the tools we cover are explained in everyday language. If a tool is fiddly, we'll say so.
Do I need an advisor?
Not for most schemes. Of the 25 we track, 12 can be applied for fully yourself and 9 more need just one certified step, like an electrician's cert or an SEAI registered installer. Two need a registered professional to submit: afforestation (a Registered Forester) and ACRES (an approved ACRES advisor). GrassGrant walks you through it step by step, but never takes your agfood.ie or MyGovID login: you log in and click Submit yourself. An advisor is still a good idea if you want one.
How accurate are the matches?
Matches are a shortlist based on the profile you give and the published scheme rules, with a link to the official terms for each one. Eligibility is decided by the scheme, so always check the terms or ask your advisor.
What do the templates do?
Pro members get ready-made letters and sheets for the paperwork each scheme asks for, like quote requests, a council exemption request or a note to your landowner, filled in from your profile. Each one shows the official document it's based on. You check and send them yourself. GrassGrant never submits anything.
What happens to my farm information?
It's used only to run the service. We won't sell it. A full privacy policy is on the way, and you'll be able to delete your profile whenever you want.
I'm an advisor. Can I use it?
Yes. The Advisor plan (€49 a month) lets you add up to 15 client farm profiles and see matches and deadlines for each. See the advisors page for more.
